The same hours cost very different amounts depending on how many people share the instructor. Here is what you actually get in each format.
Every lesson and camp we run comes in three formats. The teaching is the same; what changes is how much of the instructor is yours, and how quickly you progress.
Group
Up to 4 students per instructor for kitesurf and surf lessons, or a maximum of 3 in a group camp. It is the most affordable option and the most sociable — you learn alongside people at a similar level and there is a natural rhythm of watching, resting and trying. The trade-off is waiting your turn.
Semi-private
Two students per instructor, each with their own equipment in kitesurf. This is the format we recommend most often to couples and friends travelling together. You get roughly double the individual attention of a group without paying private rates, and having someone to share the experience with genuinely helps.
Private
One to one. The fastest way to progress, and the best option if you have limited days, a specific goal, or you simply want the instructor watching every attempt. It is also the right choice for younger children, who benefit from having someone within arm's reach.
A simple way to decide
- Tight budget, plenty of days: group
- Travelling as a pair: semi-private
- Short trip or want the fastest progress: private
- Child under twelve: private or semi-private
You can mix them
Nothing stops you starting private to get through kite control quickly, then moving to group sessions once you are on the board. Tell us what you want to achieve and we will suggest the split.
Prices for all three formats are listed on each lesson and camp page, so you can compare before you enquire.
